Michael Schonborn, Network Academy Manager. MCSE, MCT, CCAI, CEH, ECSA

Michael Schonborn

Michael was a founding staff member of the Network Academy when it was formed in 1999. Originally a Microsoft Instructor he has managed the Network Academy since 2002. As well as managing the Network Academy he still instructs on various Cisco, Microsoft and wireless technology courses.



Andy Fear, Senior Cisco Instructor. CCNA, CCNP, CCAI, CQS-CFS, CQS-CWLSS, MCDST, MCP, A+, CEH

Andy Fear

Andy joined the Network Academy in 2002 having spent 8 years in the IT industry working in a variety of roles. Andy specialises in delivering the Cisco Network Academy program on which he is qualified to instruct on the CCNA, CCNP, IPT and CQS-CFS curriculums. Andy also delivers MCDST training as part of the Microsoft IT Academy program.


James Dyer, Senior Microsoft Instructor. MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA

James Dyer

James joined the Network Academy in 2008 having spent 7 years in the IT industry working in a variety of roles. James specialises in system administration, database administration and software development. He delivers Windows server and desktop training as part of the Microsoft IT Academy program.



Dave Jennings, Cisco Instructor. CCNA, CQS-IPTES, CQS-IPCES, CCVP

Dave Jennings

Dave is a highly experienced network engineer, having worked in the industry for 8 years in both data and telecoms roles. He specialises in Voice over IP, and is skilled in routing and switching solutions from various vendors. He is currently teaching the CCNA curriculum, as well as being involved in our VoIP offerings



Andrew Mason, Cisco Instructor. CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP, CCSP, CCIE#7144, CISSP, CEH, A+, Network+

Andrew Mason

Andrew brings with him 15 years of IT experience in all major sectors. He is a published author of several Cisco Press books and is actively involved in the certification industry community. Andrew specialises in Cisco and security. He is currently delivering the CCNA curriculum as part of the Cisco Network Academy program.



Sean O'Leary, Cisco Instructor. CCNA, CCNP

Sean O'Leary

Sean has been supporting Data & Voice networking since the late 80's . Roles have included Network Management , Service Management and he is currently specialising in IT Project Management. He has 1st line/ 2nd line Support experience in the following types of Network:- Cisco Router/ Switch, VOIP Cisco and Nortel, legacy PBX TDM Networks, and Frame Relay/ATM switches. Sean instructs on the CCNA Curriculum.


Ian Eastwood, Cisco Instructor. CCNA

Ian Eastwood

Having obtained an HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Ian started his career in the electronics field before moving into the IT and Networking field.  Ian has many years experience in the IT field across a range of vendors but specialise in Cisco. Ian instructs on the IT Essentials and CCNA curriculum.



Dariusz Jaguszewski, Cisco Instructor. CCNA

Dariusz Jaguszewski

Dariusz has been working in the IT industry for several years in Poland and England as a 1st/2nd line support engineer. He specialises in Cisco routers and switches and Microsoft operating systems.




James Lewis, Cisco Instructor

James Lewis

James currently looks after the network of a large Auto Parts company. He has been instructing on the CCNA program with us since 2006.




Martin Edwards, IT Work Based Learning Tutor

Martin Edwards

Martin has been delivering Apprenticeships and work-based NVQs in IT since 1996 and joined the College in 2005. He works with Apprenticeship employers ranging from small businesses to larger public and private entities, who offer training and development positions to young people between 16 and 25 years.



Sheila Whiting, Administrator

Sheila Whiting

Sheila joined the Network Academy in 2005. Prior to this Sheila worked for the NHS as ward clerk and in the private sector. Sheila will offer you a warm friendly welcome and will provide you with any help or information you require during your period of study with us.



Paul Walsh, Business Liaison

Paul is the Business Liaison Officer for the College and will most likely be your first port of call for Network Academy enquiries.

Paul Titman, Business Manager

Paul joined in 2003, having spent many years as a Senior Manager in BT plc and, latterly, at Selby College. His role is to work with business customers to ensure that their requirements are accommodated in the training that we offer and that satisfactory outcomes are achieved.
